Kuala Lumpur, 20 September 2021 – Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) was called to assist IPD Ampang Jaya in clearing ‘Barang-Barang Kes’ related to crime of vehicle theft. Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of VTREC was invited to have a physical view visits to the 2 location stores that storing the ‘Barang-barang Kes’ or completed investigation of court cases items.
The objective of the initiative is to reduce the dumping of completed investigation of court cases properties (Barang Kes) throughout Districts of Selangor. PDRM had to bear the high cost of maintaining the stores area to keep the vehicles safe and protected from damage and rotten. A number of discussions took place between VTREC and IPD Ampang Jaya to mobilise the initiative.
The vehicles at both stores of Balai Polis Hulu Kelang and Balai Polis Pandan Indah were arranged neatly, orderly and labeled properly with the concept of ready park. Vehicles can be found easily since they are well organised. Not only will one get to the vehicle faster, but one will feel more in control of the busy working time seeing an organised and accessible management of ‘Barang-barang Kes’. It is not too much to acknowledge the 2 stores as model stores. KUDOS IPD Ampang Jaya!
