KUCHING, 11 Mac 2022: YDH Tuan SAC Jamel Salleh, Ketua Penolong Pengarah Operasi Darat, Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti (JPJKK), Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Bukit Amanofficiated the Closing Ceremony of PDRM-VTREC vehicle Theft Public Awareness Mini Campaign held on Mac 11, 2022 at Pullman Hotel, Kuching, Sarawak today. While the Opening Ceremony was officiated by himself on January 28, 2022 at Alor Setar, Kedah.
The Mini campaign was conducted from 26 January 2022 to 12 Mac 2022, over 10,000 public have been approached during the 4-vehicle theft public mini campaign. The public participated in writing messages at Doodle Wall, colouring the Doodle Wall, Contests and Quizzes. The campaign provided opportunities for public interaction, knowledge exchange and enhance the awareness to protect the user’s vehicle.

YDH Tuan SAC Jamel Salleh in his Closing Speech commended the VTREC and respective police officers for the successful conduct of the 4-mini campaign started with Alor Setar, Kedah; followed by Kota Damansara, Selangor; Johor Bahru, Johor and Kuching, Sarawak. He also highlighted that the strategic efforts have strengthen co-operation and deepened the collaboration between PDRM and VTREC. The PDRM-VTREC Vehicle Theft Mini Awareness Campaign clearly demonstrate a significant role played by government agencies and non-government agencies such as PDRM and VTREC in fighting vehicle theft. Strong collaboration between the two entities is much needed and should serve as important strategy to bring down vehicle theft crime that will benefit the community and country.

YBhg Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid in her Opening Speech at the Closing Ceremony, mentioned that to ensure the safe conduct of the exercise, participants from both PDRM and VTREC were fully vaccinated and strictly abided by COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) in all 4-mini campaign. YBhg Puan Mas Tina thanked YDH Tuan SAC Jamel Salleh, Ketua Penolong Pengarah Operasi Darat Bukit Aman for officiating the Opening Ceremony of PDRM-VTREC Public Awareness Mini Awareness Campaign as well as officiating the Closing Ceremony. She also thanked all stakeholders for their great support and commitments especially JPJKK – Bahagian Operasi Darat including Mobile Patrol Vehicle (MPV), Unit Rondaan Bermotorsikal (URB) and Skuad Aman Wanita (Amanita) throughout all mini campaigns as well seminars held.
