Working closely with the Royal Malaysia Police and Interpol and also the Consulate General of Malaysia in Songkla, Thailand, VTREC had been notified of a total of 450 stolen vehicles that were detained in Singapore and Thailand. 14 of these vehicles were from Singapore and 436 from Thailand. VTREC had been able to identify 85 of these vehicles as belonging to Malaysian Insurers and awaiting for their release. VTREC is in process of identifying the balance of 365 vehicles and negotiating procedures with the Thai authorities for the release of these vehicles.
VTREC has been working in close collaboration with the Consulate General of Malaysia, the Thai authorities and PDRM in the recovery of stolen vehicles in Southern Thailand.
