Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) continued to pursue the awareness programme on vehicle theft.
“Public Awareness Programme – Crime of Vehicle Theft” was organised on 28th April 2018 at Gazebo Theatre, Perdanasiswa Complex, University of Malaya. It was a collaboration between VTREC and the Student Representative Council (MPP), Kor Sukarelawan Siswa Siswi (Kor SUKSIS) University of Malaya, Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah Dan Keselamatan Komuniti (JPJKK) and PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd.
The awareness programme was aimed at raising awareness on crime of vehicle theft and the prevention of vehicle from being stolen. 250 students from various colleges of University of Malaya participated in the event. A brief play on car theft was presented by the students and a Poster Contest was organised to create and spread awareness of vehicle theft among the students by promoting the tagline of “Say No to Vehicle Theft”.
