KLANG SELATAN, 18 August 2020: The Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) paid a courtesy call on Tuan ACP Shamsul Amar bin Ramli, Klang Selatan Police Chief (OCPD) at IPD Klang Selatan. Leading the courtesy call from VTREC was its Co-ordinator, Puan Mas Tina binti Abdul Hamid. Also in attendance were Encik Muhammad Alif Mohd Adnan, VTREC Executive and Tuan ASP Zamrus bin Zakaria, Pegawai Risikan & Operasi Bahagian Siasatan Jenayah of IPD Klang Selatan.
The meeting saw a mutual liaison and exchange of information on vehicle theft crime and potential opportunities of collaboration particularly on policing and community engagement pertaining vehicle theft within the Klang Selatan territory.
Throughout the call, Tuan ACP Shamsul Amar shared Klang Selatan Vehicle Theft statistic which shows a decline in motorcycle theft and simultaneously gave his thought on the need for affiliation between PDRM and stakeholders in combating the vehicle theft. According to him, it is important for all parties to work closely on sharing information and updates in regard to vehicle theft crimes.
Aside from the discussion on combating vehicle theft, Puan Mas Tina also inform that VTREC is committed to giving assistance to the PDRM such as sponsoring for vehicle theft awareness program at vehicle theft hot spot community areas around Selangor. In the same degree, Tuan ACP Shamsul Amar is honoured with the idea by showing his delight through thoughts and feedbacks. At the end of the meeting, Puan Mas Tina thanked Tuan ASP Shamsul Amar and Tuan ASP Zamrus for their time and co-operation.
