KUALA LUMPUR, 11 November 2020: The Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) in collaboration with Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) – Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti (JPJKK) Ibu Pejabat Kontigen (IPK) Selangor will be hosting a Best Practice Sharing webinar titled “Say No to Vehicle Theft – Prevention and Keyless Theft”, scheduled for Monday 16 November 2020.

The webinar will feature Tuan ASP Zariman Ahmad (Insp. URB, JPJKK IPK Selangor), YBhg Lt. Kol. (PAB) Dato’ Ooi Win Juat (Head of Marketing & Advisory Dept., PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd) and Mr Mike Briggs (Chief Executive Officer, VSST Ltd, United Kingdom).  Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid (Co-ordinator, Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia) will be the moderator for the webinar.

The Panellists will discuss and share valuable content in their area of expertise such as information, knowledge, experience and Best Practice Sharing from different perspectives on crime of vehicle theft among others prevention measures, awareness, ways to identify stolen vehicles, cut-and-join, cloned vehicles as well as keyless vehicle theft and the Modus Operandi.

The webinar primarily aim is at the PDRM Officers in Selangor as participants.  All selected participants are invited to participate. The participants will increase their knowledge on discussion and Best Practise Sharing covers by the webinar.  The objective is to enhance and further expose the Police Officers on vehicle theft crime in particular keyless theft.

VTREC appreciates the close collaboration and effective efforts with various stakeholders in combating the crime of vehicle theft including online engagement. The collective efforts of multi-stakeholders able to reduce vehicle theft cases and to increase well-being of the community and all Malaysian.
