Lab on vehicle theft with stolen spare part components and counterfeit parts are rarely featured, therefore the lab is certainly significant in VTREC effort to combat vehicle theft as well as road safety hazard. Almost 50 participants attended the VTREC Lab 2 from various background including government agencies and non-government agencies. Motivations of the lab participants are driven, among other, by high commitment of the organisations involved to reduce national vehicle theft and eventually reduce rate of vehicle theft as well as road traffic accident nationwide which caused by stolen and counterfeit spare parts.
