WORKING VISIT TO CIQ MALAYSIA-SINGAPORE BORDER

 JOHOR BAHRU, 7 February 2023:  YDH CP Dato’ Sri Abdul Jalil Hassan, the Chairman of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia and YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, the Co-ordinator of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia together with officers of Police Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) and officer of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) visited the Tambak Johor Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex today. Also attended was Johor Police Chief, YDH CP Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat and Dr Kenneth Tan, Chief Executive officer, TC Sens Sdn Bhd.  The visit was a special arrangement hosted by Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ), headed by Senior Director of Enforcement, YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan.

 

 

The visit aimed to understand and learn the mechanism, rules and regulation including procedures implemented in respect to RFID Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP), Road Charge (RC) and Toll via Bangunan Sultan Iskandar (BSI) for all vehicles entering Johor from Singapore or heading to the island state in the effort to curb crime of vehicle theft as well as cloned vehicles.

 

 

 

At the special invitation YBrs KPPP Azhar Ahmad, Ketua Stesen Kawalan Sempadan, JPJ delivered his briefing and the session was opened for Q&A.   As token of mementos, plague and gift were presented by YDH CP Dato’ Sri Abdul Jalil bin Hassan to YBhg Datuk Lokman bin Jamaan representing VTREC and PDRM.
