KUALA LUMPUR, 23 January 2024: The “Majlis Hi-Tea dan Merakam Penghargaan VTREC kepada Stakeholders” was organised by the Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) as a way of expressing gratitude, respect and to motivate the stakeholders involved in the fight against vehicle theft. Among others Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) consisting Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ), Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersial (JSJK) and Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti (JPJKK), Minister of Transportation (MOT), Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ), PUSPAKOM Sdn Bhd (PUSPAKOM), and Jabatan Kimia Malaysia.
The event was officiated by YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan, acting Chairman of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) cum Senior Director, Enforcement Department, Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ), who also presented the winners with their prizes. The 5 winning agencies were among the government agencies and non-government agencies in Malaysia. This marks a significant milestone in VTREC’s commitment to providing recognition and reward experience for its valued stakeholders. The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of awards to officers or units identified as contributing to the reduction in vehicle theft rates.
At the Ceremony, besides YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan, acting Chairman of VTREC cum Senior Director, Enforcement Department, Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ), YDH DCP Dato’ Azman Ayob, Timbalan Pengarah (Operasi) of Jabatan Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti, PDRM (JPJKK) and Encik Fukhairuddin Yusof, Chief Executive Officer of Etiqa General Insurance Berhad representing Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) were also honoured a total of 73 awardees with certificates and plaques of recognition for their efforts and achievements in reducing vehicle theft. The event took place at Impiana KLCC Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.
