PDRM-VTREC SPREADS VEHICLE THEFT AWARENESS THROUGH MINI CAMPAIGN AT AEON MALL TEBRAU

Johor Bahru, 22 & 23 December 2023: Through Mini Campaign efforts on vehicle theft prevention, the Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) together with Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) raise public awareness of the continuous endeavor to prevent theft.

 

The increase of public knowledge regarding the risks associated with vehicle theft and place an emphasis on preventive actions, vehicle theft awareness campaigns are essential to protecting communities and lowering the frequency of vehicle theft. when a result, when awareness grows, individuals become more watchful and adopt the appropriate safety measures.

The mini-campaign was conducted in the New Wing, Ground Floor, Aeon Mall Tebrau, Johor Bahru, Johor and was attended by members of the public as well as police officer’s representatives from JPJKK and AMANITA. The participants contributed joined the activities including placing messages on the Doodle Wall, colouring the Doodle Wall, colouring contest, Steering Lock Challenge and Vehicle Theft Wheel of Fortune.

 

 

“The PDRM-VTREC Vehicle Theft Public Awareness Mini Campaign is to ensure more people understand and are aware of vehicle theft crimes is and how to protect their vehicle,” stated YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, VTREC Coordinator. Using a chain lock, securing the steering wheel, using an anti-theft protector or signal-blocking pouch for the car key fob, and parking in a well-lit area are some ways we may use this to inform and increase public awareness about vehicle security.

 

At the Awareness Wall, which was full with vows against vehicle theft, good slogans, and ambitions, the public and police officers responded positively and offered assistance.
