VTREC HOSTING MEET AND GREET EVENT WITH UUM AND USIM

KUALA LUMPUR, 25 June 2021:  Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) held a virtual “Meet & Greet” session with student leaders of Gerakan Pengguna Siswa Universiti Utara Malaysia (GPSUUM), Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar and Exco Kebajikan dan Keselamatan Siswi, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

A number of student leaders showed up and a new communication being formed between VTREC-UUM-USIM.  Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of VTREC delivered her Welcome Speech, then followed by an introduction session. The session was emceed by Puan Afif Aliya Abu Fitri, VTREC Executive.

The attendees from the day included Encik Mohd Khairi Ja’afar, GPSUUM Student Advisor, Encik Muhammad Najib Anas Abdul Rahman, President, Encik Mohamad Ikhwan Thariq Azhar, Deputy President, Cik Nur Wajihah Che Lah, Secretary, Cik Nur Alissa Al Zaharam, Treasure, Mr Rhaakhesh Omantaram, Exco, Cik Auzma Muhd Zulkhairi, Exco and Cik Miza Kamalia Mustapa Kamal, Exco of GPSUUM.  While representatives from USIM were Cik Nur Abidah bt Zahari, Vice President of Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar, Cik Nur Ain Muhamad Husni, Exco, Cik Najwa Farhana Norman, Exco and Encik Muhammad Solihin Azman, Exco Kebajikan dan Keselamatan Siswi, USIM.

The highlight of the “Meet & Greet” session was when the student leaders of both universities shared and discussed actively issues, views and approaches in respect to crime of vehicle theft.  Their enthusiastic participation led the session to a success and all this will set the stage for another event.  The discussion session was led by Encik Muhammad Alif Mohd Adnan, VTREC Executive.

The participants found that information and discussions were useful and looking forward to another exciting programme upcoming and establishing relationship between VTREC and students. Nevertheless, due to lockdown and strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of COVID-19 and uncertainty caused by the pandemic, virtual platform and online approaches were regarded as practical and effective.  The “Meet & Greet” session ended with the Closing Speech by Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, VTREC Co-ordinator.
