KUALA LUMPUR, 17 March 2023: The Co-ordinator of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC), YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid attended a dialogue session between insurance industry and Commercial Crime Investigation Department (Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersial) (CCID) of Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) Bukit Aman on crime of vehicle fraud claims which organised by Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM) and Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA).
The objective of the dialogue session was to strengthen relation between insurance industry and CCID and to address issues in respect to commercial crime related to vehicle fraud claims. During the dialogue session CCID and ISM Insurance Services Malaysia Berhad (ISM) have delivered their presentation to curb issues of fraud claims. The dialogue session was chaired by YDH Tuan Supt Lim Chee Koon, Ketua Unit Siasatan Jenayah Insurans, Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersial, Bukit Aman.
Also attended from VTREC was Puan Nur Alwanie Iberahim, other representatives from CCID, PIAM, MTA, ISM and a number of insurance companies and takaful operators. There were many forward and positive questions and answers being exchanged between the participants and CCID. At the end of the dialogue session, YDH Tuan Supt Lim Chee Koon, Ketua Unit Siasatan Jenayah Insurans, Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersial, Bukit Aman thanked PIAM and MTA for organising such dialogue and all participants for the fruitful session, also he mentioned that this is just a beginning of a co-operation, many more to come in the future. Then the session followed by exchanged of mementos by PIAM and MTA.
